NIS Partner Program
Services of the Liaison Office
The Telcordia NEP/SP Liaison Office has been recently established to assist our mutual customers, the global service providers, to achieve their goals within Telcordia’s OSS services process. The NIS Partner Program will work with both NEP and service providers and focus on three primary areas:
- Communication
- Strategic Planning
- Process Improvement
- Coordinate three-way communications between Service Provider, NE Providers and Telcordia to minimize disconnects and ensure on-time deployment of full OSS Integration solution
- Provide frequent education sessions around Heritage OSMINE and OSS Network Integration Services processes, timelines, features and services
- Service Provider’s Point of Contact into the processes
- Regular and Frequent Roadmap sessions
- Assist Service Providers and NEPs in identifying flowthrough, generic feature and other OSS requirements early
- Better synchronization of technology deployment and OSS development road maps
- Identification of OSS requirements for RFPs
- Develop integrated process solutions for Service Providers, incorporating and paralleling OSS Client Forum initiatives
- Develop new business processes and models
- Work with Service Providers to prevent, resolve, manage and minimize NE related fire drills
Current Environment
A critical and competitive need of service providers is to achieve a fully automated flowthrough environment to manage all incoming service requests. Telcordia’s integrated OSS services process, working with the NEP, will allow both the NEP and service providers face the competitive challenges to shorten time to market; lower risk and increase predictability of bringing new network technology to market.
