The Telcordia® Media Gateway Control Protocol (MGCP) Conformance Test Suite for Gateway system Test Suite provides a fully automated conformance testing of Gateway system equipment, such as Residential or Trunking Gateways, that implement MGCP signaling requirement.
The Telcordia® MGCP Conformance Test Suite assesses a system's ability to conform to the following standards from the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF):
The test suite consists of the following conformance test groups:
- Basic Call Type - these test group covers the IUT's capabilities to hand the basic call between Call agent and the Residential or Trunking Gateways with the MGCP signaling protocol.
- Basic Commands - these test cases verify the Implementation Under Test (IUT) IUT's functionalities for sending messages to the call agent and correctly responding the messages to Call agent.
- Return Error Codes - these test cases verify the IUT's functionality for correctly acknowledging the Call agent with the proper return code value.
- Error Conditions - these test cases verify the IUT's functionality for ignoring or retransmitting message if the messages sent from the Call agent contain error.
- Event Packages Endpoint Types - these test cases verify the IUT's functionality for correctly handling the event packages from the Call agent.
- Internet Telephony Call Flows - these test cases verify the IUT's functionality for correctly handling the basic call from Trunking Gateway to Trunking Gateway, Residential Gateway to Trunking Gateway and hairpin connection by using different call set-up procedures.
