Notification Solutions

Frequently-Asked Questions

What is it?
TNS is a carrier-grade automated alerting system that enables companies and government agencies to provide rapid, consistent messages to anyone, anywhere, anytime, via all popular modes of communication.
What can you do with it?
System users can send emergency or non-emergency alerts to employees, customers, suppliers, emergency workers, hospitals, or any segment of the general population.
How does it work?
  • As part of system set-up, the user defines distribution lists and groups for various alerts and notifications (distribution lists can also be created in real-time, based on geographic location or other attributes).
  • The user activates the system, sending alerts to one or more of these distribution lists over appropriate telecommunications networks.
  • In case of busy or no answer situations, alerts are automatically forwarded to alternate devices or networks based on the recipients profile or application scenario.
  • Audit logs are created to confirm the receipt of messages and system operation.
What makes it different?
  • Telcordia:

    • Supports reverse E-911.
    • Provides confirmation of delivered and received messages
  • Superior Engineering
    • Implemented with the experience of communications software system and services that handle 70% of the US telephone traffic and every 800 call with 5 nines (99.999%) reliability and QoS.
    • Built on a robust Services Oriented Architecture platform that is scaleable to accommodate massive numbers of alerts and uniquely tailorable to customer needs.
    • Designed and implemented to deliver alerts faster than other solutions and mitigate inherent PSTN bottlenecks.
  • Lower Cost of Acquisition and Operation
    • Available in a hosted solution mode, i.e., no capital outlay and users only pay for the capabilities they need. In situations where the customer demands an on-premises system, it can be delivered as a deployed system. Or it can be configured to integrate a deployed and hosted system.
    • Can interoperate with customer databases - contact information can be extracted from existing sources (corporate and commercial).
    • Employs a user-friendly interface to simplify system set-up and operation with minimal training.
