TDM Service Interconnection
Reduce the cost and complexity of implementing and managing bi-lateral interconnection agreements for services interconnected via Time-Division-Multiplexing (TDM) networks
TDM Service Interconnection, one of the three interworking and independent modules of the Telcordia® Service Interconnection Registry, identifies interconnection routing and rating data based on the called telephone number, including:
- Serving operator
- Type of service
- Geographical location
- Interconnecting network switch identification and location
- Rate center
When using the TDM Service Interconnection module, you can:
- Reduce operational costs, time, and errors associated with bilateral implementations such as data collection, verification, and normalization
- Enable mechanization and automation of interconnection processes
- Reduce interconnection order costs
TDM Service Interconnection is part of our robust inter-operator interconnection information infrastructure. It provides TDM switches and their associated provisioning systems with routing and rating information to enable operators to interconnect using TDM networks. It is flexible and extensible to adapt to all country/region interconnection environments.
In North America, TDM Service Interconnection is operated by the Telcordia® Routing Administration (TRA), which manages the Telcordia® LERG Routing Guide, serving all operators in the North America Numbering Plan regions for more than 30 years.
