Telcordia® Service Interconnection Registry
A trusted, centrally-managed, and carrier-grade registry that enables inter-carrier routing and rating for TDM- and IP-enabled services
To remain competitive, optimize their business processes and improve operational margins, operators are increasingly migrating toward a more cost-effective business model for their interconnection operations -- a centralized and authoritative source for interconnection information exchange, which helps to enable timely and efficient global trade.
Using our Service Interconnection Registry you can:
- Quickly recapture up to 4% of revenue as a result of more comprehensive and accurate interconnect data
- Reduce the number of fraudulent calls traversing networks
- Lower operational costs of bi-lateral data collection, validation, exchange and implementation
- Enable new revenue generation with IP-enabled services
- Ease the introduction of new services and technologies to the interconnect operational environment through central registration and distribution
- Reduce overall interconnect costs
Our registry is divided into three interworking and independent modules:
- Global Dialing Data - Provides authoritative worldwide dialing data to enable least-cost routing and help guard against revenue leakage and fraud.
- TDM Service Interconnection - Offers inter-operator routing and rating information over TDM networks to reduce the cost and complexity of managing bi-lateral interconnection agreements for TDM services.
- IP Service Interconnection - Manages validated, accurate IP-routable data for new, IP-enabled, revenue-generating services to enable seamless PSTN to IP integration for value-added services.
Service Interconnection in North America is operated by the Telcordia® Routing Administration (TRA), which manages the Telcordia® LERG Routing Guide.
Service Interconnection Registry is a proven solution that has helped international fixed and mobile operators, as well as telecom operators in the North American Number Plan regions, to reduce their interconnect costs.
Our Service Interconnection Community program is available to further accelerate your VoIP and IMS service deployment via proven interoperability. Community members include suppliers of IP and IMS infrastructure elements and Operations Support Systems (OSSs), who have successfully completed pre-defined interoperability tests to ensure rapid deployment in operator environments. Together, Service Interconnection Community members deliver the promise of converged services via an all-IP interconnect infrastructure.
