Service Interconnection Community

Accelerate deployment of converged services and IP service interconnection

Interoperability is a key challenge for operators deploying VoIP and other converged services. The Telcordia Service Interconnection Community program can help accelerate and reduce the cost of IP service interconnection deployment by:

  • Identifying vendors whose products have been tested to interoperate with our Service Interconnection Registry
  • Providing a proven path to rapidly deploy IP service infrastructure that can interconnect with other operators easily via IP
  • Offering a flexible base platform to support other IP-enabled services beyond VoIP

Because interoperability issues are addressed ahead of time, you'll never have to deploy your services on a "service island" basis where interconnection is done via PSTN. Our program is comprehensive and supports infrastructure-building to operations. Members of the Service Interconnection Community include vendors of softswitches, IMS infrastructure elements, IP PBXs, session border controllers, address resolution servers, and Operations Support Systems (OSSs). Membership in our Service Interconnection Community requires successful completion of pre-defined interoperability tests to ensure rapid deployment in operator environments.

Together, Service Interconnection Community members bring interoperable solutions to accelerate VoIP and IMS service deployment via proven interoperability, and deliver the promise of converged services via an all-IP interconnect infrastructure.
