GR Project Manager Information

A Telcordia GR Project Manager (GRPM) is a technical expert who leads, manages, and directs a specific GR project. The GRPM chairs the Telcordia Technical Forum (TTF) for his/her project and directs the process and path of the GR(s) under development.

The TTF is formed by Telcordia and includes the Telcordia GRPM and the funding participants. The TTF performs the generic requirements work as described in the GR Work Statement. Interactions with funding participants may be via in-person meetings, conference calls, electronic mail, and faxes.

The basic GRPM responsibilities include:

  • Provide overall management of the TTF and associated work programs
  • Ensure all proposed issues announced in the project description are addressed
  • Keep all project participants continually informed of project status, including any change in scope or any other updates
  • Ensure that business is conducted in accordance with the Telecommunications Act of 1996 (TA96) and the agreed upon TTF procedures

The Telcordia Technical Forum Procedures to Develop Proposed Generic Requirements is Attachment B of the Generic Requirements Participation Agreement. These procedures provide the details regarding the forum, membership, and Chair responsibilities, and guidelines for conducting meetings and voting.
