Enterprise License FAQs
The following FAQs provide some information on the Enterprise Licenses that are the means of licensing Telcordia® Routing Administration (TRA) products. For further information please contract TRA directly.
Why does TRA have an Enterprise License model instead of single user licenses?
More users within a company need access. Original license only allowed 1-user-to-1-license-for-1-price - Without commercial discounting, license fees quickly became prohibitive. Some customers were tempted to ignore restrictions and legal obligations. Others simply forgot the license terms and conditions over time.
Easier Mechanization - Clients who have mechanized processes and wish to license TRA data products for loading on Operations Support Systems realize greater cost savings through further mechanization.

How are prices developed for the Enterprise License?
Standard pricing algorithms are employed to ensure prices to all clients are fair and equitable and consistent with TRA and industry-accepted "Fair Share" principles. Prices for Enterprise Licenses are determined by the use of product data and the value your company derives from the data in the product.
An equitable pricing structure is provided for all stakeholders in the telecommunications industry: carriers; billing agents; legal, consulting, and engineering firms; and manufacturers alike. The pricing structure accounts for Incumbent Local Exchange Carriers (ILECs) and Competitive Local Exchange Carriers (CLECs), long distance carriers, cellular or Personal Communications Services (PCS) wireless carriers, VoIP providers, etc., or whether your company provides billing or other services to carriers or other firms.
Enterprise licenses are generally for individual lines of business however, special arrangements can be made for combined entity licenses.
Our pricing structure also provides commercial discounts for clients who participate in the Telcordia® Fair Share Plan (FSP) data processing service by discounting for the number of records stored in the TRA FSP databases.
General Information for Enterprise Product Licenses
For licenses involving product subscriptions, invoices are rendered annually upon renewal of the subscription with full payment required in 30 days. However, special monthly billing may be arranged with TRA at an additional 3% service charge.
TRA will also work with you and your company's procurement department to assist in obtaining a purchase order, establishing the correct accounts payable approach, and determine needed stakeholders you should consider when designing a license.
