A robust central office manager for:
- Managing inventory records and assignment of switching system line-side ports, associated central office equipment, digital loop technologies, DSLAMs, and voice gateways for voice over IP (VoIP) service, based on available equipment, load balance, spreading (for hunting and Centrex services), and requested service
- Automatically selecting other equipment such as tie pairs, transmission equipment, and bridge lifters based on the electrical characteristics of the circuit and office layout
- Supporting administration of telephone numbers and other switching system translations data
- Coordinating switching office framework management with inventory and assignment functions, including support for robotic frames
The SWITCH System CE is a powerful, centralized system that enables flowthrough operations by managing and assigning central office switching equipment and both dynamic and static cross-connects for digital loop electronics systems. It supports a wide range of analog and digital switching systems, and a full array of services, including hunting, ISDN, Centrex, DSL, data services, IP-Centrex and other VoIP services, and multi-point circuits. This easily customized system promotes rapid deployment of new technologies by employing inventory characterizations, assignment rules, and process control parameters based on user-tunable reference data.
The system also supports a frame order management system that integrates with the SWITCH system's inventory management and assignment functions.
