Telcordia® Number Portability Services for Wireline and Mobile Networks

Number portability is a breakthrough in convenience for end-users. They can switch providers whenever they want without the hassle and expense of changing phone numbers. At the same time, it offers service providers exciting, new opportunities to add customers and boost revenue.

Our Number Portability Services software includes:

Local Number Portability
Routes calls to wireline numbers that have been ported to other service providers using the Location Routing Number (LRN) model. LRN routing data from the Local Service Management System (LSMS) is downloaded to the Telcordia® ISCP® System. This service also supports the Message Relay Service (MRS) function to route network queries on ported numbers for special services like CLASS(SM), Calling Name Delivery, and Calling Card.

Wireless Number Portability
Enables customers to change wireless providers and retain their current mobile numbers. Similar to LNP, our solution provides routing information whenever mobile users call ported wireline or mobile numbers.
