Telcordia® Number Management System
Web-based software for automating numbering resource assignments to service providers.
The open, scalable Telcordia Number Management System helps national regulatory authorities to assign and track numbering resources and helps enable both the National Number Administrator and its service provider customers to access and view numbering and industry-related information on a web site. The Number Management System dramatically simplifies number resource assignments by:
- Supporting the detailed processes and tasks of numbering management
- Managing number block activation and monitoring available number blocks
- Providing service providers and number administrators with the functionality for submitting online numbering resource request applications
- Providing guidance and validation during the application data entry process to ensure complete and correct application submittal
- Providing functionality for storing, reviewing and processing application requests, and viewing application status
- Allowing recording and tracking of all numbering resources under its purview
- Making provisions for storing service provider profiles, maintaining inventories of allocated, reserved and spare numbering resources and searching blocks of available numbers to be reserved or allocated to a service provider
- Producing reports that allow analysis of current usage patterns, and performing resource utilization to help ensure achievement of number resource utilization targets
Included in the Telcordia Number Management System is a database for tracking, storing and archiving numbering resource request applications and records. It is designed with flexible data fields that can equate to country-specific National Numbering Plan (NNP) resources. All screens can be customized to meet national language requirements. The system can also process resource assignments for a variety of numbers depending on the country's National Numbering Plan and the requirements of the Number Administrator.
