Telcordia® MARCH® System CE

The MARCH System CE is a powerful, open, multi-vendor system that translates customer line-related service order data into the appropriate information for the right switches and other network elements/servers, then transmits the appropriate messages for virtually zero-touch activation.

The activation system of choice for many service providers because of its ability to:

  • Enable flowthrough service activation for various services including basic voice, Centrex, and voice over IP (VoIP)
  • Generate, schedule, prioritize, and transmit messages to appropriate network elements, and route acknowledgments of message status to other systems
  • Display messages and allow editing before they are sent to the network
  • Retain transmitted messages so that information can be restored to network elements when necessary
  • Generate activity and status data for online monitoring and off-line reports

This open, multi-vendor service activation system translates service order data into provisioning commands to achieve flowthrough rates of more than 95% for many services. It uses templates and algorithms to translate a service order request into the format, command-language, and sequence acceptable to the switches and other network elements/servers associated with activating those services. Then it transmits messages to targeted elements at the appropriate dates and times, and notifies upstream systems when transactions have completed or failed.

It is highly scalable - currently managing over 1,700 host and remote switches in one customer network using only a few servers, and processing over 350,000 messages per day. And we continue to evolve this system, constantly adding support for new revenue-generating services and features, including VoIP services.
