LEIS System CE is an invaluable tool for network planners and engineers, giving them a variety of mechanized views of cable and electronics demands and other facility information to improve planning, engineering, and monitoring of outside plant access networks.

• Integrating with Loop Facilities Assignment and Control System CE and SWITCH System CE to utilize their inventory and assignment data, and then return engineering and loop characteristics to those systems to assist service assignment and activation

LEIS System CE also supports other organizations such as capital management, marketing and regulatory organizations enabling them to make efficient, cost effective decisions for both near and long-term objectives.

Maintaining outside plant facilities for peak performance requires access to real network data at all times. Our LEIS System CE delivers the data that network planners and engineers need by serving as a remote, GIS-based, up-to-date eye on the cables and electronics in their outside plant access networks. The system has two primary modules.

The Loop Engineering Assignment Data module provides detailed facility information to support loop engineering and design, including selection of appropriate Digital Loop Carrier facilities. The module stores transmission characteristics, and lets users format this data for reports and other uses.

The PLAN/PLAN windows module lets users monitor loop feeder route fill and perform planning functions for outside plant "relief." Relief planning involves merging utilization data with user-tunable economic information to determine the appropriate equipment, facilities, timing, and sizing for network changes.
