Designer

The Designer facilitates the definition of products from a palette of pre-defined components and supports the definition of the components themselves. These components are the functional building blocks for products. They represent both the basis for significant re-use and the primary means through which services can be decomposed for federation across partners.

The Designer represents the primary interface and repository for defining and managing products. It is a graphical tool for constructing and managing the product specification. It enables the definition of the business aspects of products, such as category, product, price, package and promotion, as well as the technical aspects such as features, policies, metrics and the supporting relationships and infrastructure. Specifications can be made available to other OSS/BSS systems as the specification of record.
