Telcordia associate inducted as TM Forum Distinguished Fellow
Tom Forsyth recognized for long-standing excellence in the telecoms industry
Piscataway, NJ - May 6, 2009 -Tom Forsyth, Director of Marketing, Service Delivery Solutions, Telcordia, has been named a Distinguished Fellow of the TM Forum. Designed to recognize individuals who have made a valuable contribution to the TM Forum, he becomes the 17th Fellow -- and third Telcordia associate -- named since the Distinguished Fellow Awards began 10 years ago.
With nearly 30 years of experience in the manufacturing, design and network operations space, Forsyth has helped establish Telcordia's footprint in the value-added services mobility space. At the TM Forum, he has also held previous Board of Trustees roles, including as secretary and vice-chairman and was also responsible for spearheading the SQM project team and helped champion the organization's move into mobile.
Recently, Forsyth's involvement in the TM Forum has included leading the Content Encounter programme's marketing activities in the advertising track and promoting the work of the programme across the globe.

After being nominated by members of the TM Forum and then awarded by the organization's president, in consultation with the chairman, Distinguished Fellows are those who have demonstrated a lengthy and sustained record of service to the industry and the TM Forum. It recognizes those who have provided exceptional contributions to the technical excellence of the TM Forum and shown a commitment to helping advance the principles of the TM Forum in the communications industry.

The TM Forum Distinguished Fellow Award was presented at the TM Forum Management World 2009 held in Nice, France on 6 May 2009.
