PISCATAWAY, NJ - JUNE 15, 2004 - Telcordia® Technologies, Inc., a global provider of telecommunications software and services, today announced the appointment of Michael J. Henderson as President of New Generation Systems. A career telecommunications professional, Henderson will be instrumental in spearheading Telcordia's next generation services strategy and executing on the company's mission to help carriers worldwide create new revenue streams, increase profitability and drive operational efficiencies.

At Telcordia, Henderson will provide strategic leadership to the New Generation Systems division, which provides open, flexible and configurable solutions for Provisioning, Fault, Performance, Order Automation, Interconnection, and Field Force Automation to operators worldwide.

Henderson brings more than 20 years of telecommunications and other key vertical market expertise to Telcordia. He spent the last five years at ADC Telecommunications, Inc. ("ADC"), a leading provider of global network infrastructure products, where he played a principal role in the sale of the company's customer care and billing software division for $74.5 million to Intec Telecom Systems PLC. As executive vice president of global sales and marketing for ADC's Software Systems division, he was responsible for growth in the company's next generation service provider applications business, including the award winning Singl.eView transaction management suite, where ADC was recognized as the best known brand in billing. He was also responsible for developing a strategic channel program with top-tier systems integrators, outsourcers and network equipment suppliers, which led the company to establish customers in new vertical markets.
Henderson brings a wealth of talent and international expertise to the Telcordia position, serving in senior executive positions at both service providers and solution vendors. Prior to ADC, he was co-founder and CEO of PCI, a venture-backed software company that provides interactive voice services to the consumer market. Before PCI, Henderson led the sales and product development teams at Frontier Corporation and helped launch the first CLEC in the US. Earlier, Mike led the advanced development, sales, and marketing teams at Volt Data Resources after serving as the managing director of Northern Telecom Europe, a wholly owned subsidiary of Nortel Networks. Prior to this, Henderson held various senior development, marketing, and sales positions at Computer Consoles, Inc. and Control Data Corporation.
He earned an M.B.A. in Marketing and Finance from the University of Rochester and a B.S. in Management Information Systems from the University of Arizona.
