PISCATAWAY, NJ and BELFAST, NORTHERN IRELAND-- May 18, 2004 - Telcordia Technologies, Inc., a global provider of telecommunications software and services, and AePONA, the leading provider of Open Network Services solutions for global telecom operators, today announced they will jointly offer a pre-integrated wireless service delivery platform to enable carriers to rapidly deploy advanced new services, such as converged prepaid, one number, location-based and fixed and mobile virtual private networks across 2G, 2.5G and 3G networks. The joint offering is part of the Telcordia® Elementive™ strategy, which is focused on delivering expanded solutions, products and services to meet customer's unique market needs and reflects the growing market interest in AePONA's standards-based framework.
In this solution, the Telcordia® ISCP® System provides powerful service creation and application execution capabilities that utilize the flexibility and openness of the AePONA Causeway OSA/Parlay Gateway to access the new generation of mobile network capabilities. Service providers will benefit from the speed of visual programming and efficiency of component re-use when creating new services, helping service providers to achieve quicker time to value, increased revenue, lower development and administration costs, and improved productivity.

The ISCP System, part of the Telcordia Elementive Portfolio, is a flexible carrier-grade services platform designed for mobile, packet, circuit-switched, or cable networks. The ISCP System enables operators to rapidly introduce new data, IP, multimedia and voice services. Telcordia provides many advanced services including prepaid charging for voice, data and content services and converged fixed-mobile virtual private network services. In addition, many Telcordia customers develop or customize their own services in response to specific market opportunities.
