2011
- Gail Linnell, Principal Systems Engineer, has been recognized by the Alliance for Telecommunications Solutions (ATIS) for his outstanding contributions to Telecom Standards. He was recognized for his work in the Network Performance, Reliability and Quality of Service (PRQC) Committee of ATIS. Linnell has been instrumental in getting two important technical reports published, in addition to making contributions on several other topics. In particular, he recently completed a technical report on a methodology for viewing metrics associated with Undersea Cable Infrastructure (UCI).
- Petros Mouchtaris, assistant vice president of the Telcordia Network Research Laboratory and a 2011 Telcordia Fellow, has been cited in B/OSS magazine's Spheres of Influence (May/June 2011) as one of the top 25 people whose work has had significant influence on the direction and development of business and operations support systems. Mouchtaris led Telcordia's entry into the area of security for wireless ad hoc networks and was the principal investigator for projects funded by DARPA and CERDEC. He co-wrote the first book on the topic, "Security for Wireless Ad Hoc Networks," and has also made major contributions in the areas of voice-over IP, wireless networks, cyber security and security for the smart grid.
- Stan Moyer, Strategic Research Program Manager, Advanced Technology Solutions (ATS), has been honored as a lifetime OSGi Laureate by the OSGi Alliance's Board of Directors. The OSGi Alliance is a non-profit organization that promotes the widespread adoption of the OSGi Service Platform to assure interoperability of applications and services delivered and managed via networks. During his five-year tenure as president of the OSGi Alliance, Moyer drove the organization's membership from 30 to 130 members and expanded OSGi technology into the enterprise and residential broadband markets. He is only one of two members to be honored with this title since the organization's inception in 1999.
- Jim Payne, Senior Vice President/General Manager of Telcordia's National Security and Cyber Infrastructure, Advanced Technology Solutions (ATS), has been named to the prestigious AFCEA International Cyber Committee. AFCEA's Cyber Committee coordinates outreach to the cyber community, collaborating with the private and public sectors. AFCEA International is a non-profit association serving the military, government, industry and academia to advance professional knowledge and relationships in the fields of communications, IT, intelligence and global security.
- Pulak Kumar (P.K.) Nag of the Telcordia Service Delivery Solutions (SDS) organization has been elected as Vice President of Pacific Telecommunications Council India Foundation (PTCIF) and Member to the Board of Trustees for the year 2011 & 2012. PTCIF is a membership-based non-profit, non-governmental organization whose main objective is to promote general awareness of the diverse telecommunication requirements of India. The multifaceted body's members include planners, users and providers of Telecom and networks, equipment and services.
- Viqar Shaikh, Principal Systems Engineer, has been recognized by the Alliance for Telecommunications Solutions (ATIS) for his outstanding contributions to Telecom Standards As vice-chair of the ATIS Packet Technologies and Systems Committee (PTSC), Shaikh has worked with major service providers, equipment vendors, and the NCS in the development of CCS/SS7, IP-based NGN architecture, requirements and protocol specifications, and Emergency Telecommunications Service (ETS) requirements and protocol specifications. He was also recognized for his significant technical contributions and lead editorships for key standards in the areas of Next Generation Network Architecture, IP Network to Network Interface, and ETS. His efforts have resulted in technical contributions to the ATIS Network Performance, Reliability and Quality of Service (PRQC) Committee relating to ETS, and coordinating efforts with the ITU-T and 3GPP. He was a recipient of this award in 2005 and 2007.
- Douglas Zuckerman of the Telcordia Advanced Technology Solutions (ATS) organization has been elected IEEE Division III Director. He will serve as director-elect in 2011 then as director for a two-year term in 2012-2013. In this role, he will sit on the IEEE Board of Directors and share fiduciary responsibility with the IEEE Board members for the preservation and enhancement of the assets and reputation of the organization. Zuckerman has been involved in senior leadership roles across the IEEE Communications Society and IEEE for nearly 25 years. He was Communications Society President in 2009; has held all four vice president positions and several other officer positions on the Society's Board of Governors; and is an active member on several committees.
2010
- Dr. T J Kwon, Senior Research Scientist, of Telcordia's Advanced Technology Solutions (ATS) organization was elected as councilor of the Korean-American Scientists and Engineers Association (KSEA) Electric, Electronic and Communication Engineering Technical Group. He was also appointed director of KSEA's Technical Group and Affiliated Professional Society. KSEA is a non-profit technical organization dedicated to promoting the application of science and technology for the general welfare of society, and to foster international cooperation between the U.S. and Korea. Dr. Kwon previously served as president of Korean Computer Scientists and Engineers Association in America (KOCSEA), which is an affiliated professional society of KSEA.
- Dr. Adam Drobot, CTO and President of the Advanced Technology Solutions business unit, was appointed to the Intelligent Transportation Systems Program Advisory Committee (ITSPAC) by the U.S. Secretary of Transportation. As a federal advisory committee, the ITSPAC was established to act in an advisory capacity to the Secretary of Transportation on all matters relating to the study, development and implementation of intelligent transportation systems.
2009
- The IEEE national organization and various IEEE Sections within New Jersey have honored Telcordia and four of its Advanced Technology Solutions group. The company received the 2009 Friend of IEEE and Engineering Profession award and the 2009 Supporting Friend of IEEE Member and Geographic Activities (MGA) award. Kiriakos Manousakis, senior research scientist and Ashutosh Dutta, senior scientist both received 2009 Section Leadership awards while Subir Das, senior scientist was awarded the 2009 Technology Innovation Award. In addition Mark Karol, senior scientist was elected Vice President of Technical Activities for IEEE Communications Society.
- Dr. Adam Drobot, CTO & President, Advanced Technology Solutions, was appointed to the Federal Communications Commission's (FCC) Communications Security, Reliability and Interoperability Council (CSRIC). As a federal advisory committee, the CSRIC provides recommendations to the FCC to ensure optimal security, reliability and interoperability of communications systems, including public safety, telecommunications and media communications.
- James F.X. Payne, senior vice president and general manager of National Security and Cyber Infrastructure, was appointed chair of Gallaudet University's Board of Associates (BOA), a volunteer group of business and philanthropic leaders that helps the university develop strong ties with potential benefactors and employers of students. A member of the BOA since 1996, Payne has also served on the university's Long Range Strategic Plan Joint Task Force.
- Dr. Adam Drobot, CTO & President, Advanced Technology Solutions, received the IEEE Communications Society's 2009 Communications Quality and Reliability (CQR) Chairman's Award. The award recognizes Dr. Drobot's sustained contributions to the quality, reliability and security of communications services, networks and systems.
- Tom Forsyth, Director of Marketing, Service Delivery Solutions, was named a Distinguished Fellow of the TM Forum. Designed to recognize individuals who have made a valuable contribution to the TM Forum, Forsyth is the 17th Fellow -- and third Telcordia associate -- named since the Distinguished Fellow Awards began 10 years ago.
2007
- The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), the world's largest technical professional association, presented Dr. Adam Drobot, CTO and President of Advanced Technology Solutions, with its 2007 Managerial Excellence Award. This award recognizes Dr. Drobot's leadership excellence in managing innovative research and development in telecommunications.
2003
- Dr. W. David Sincoskie, Group Senior VP, Network Systems Research, received the 2003 Fred W. Ellersick Prize from the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Communications Society for best Communications Magazine Paper of 2002.
- Dr. Kenneth J. Kerpez, senior scientist, Telcordia Technologies, named a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Inc. (IEEE). As a leading scientist for Telcordia's Broadband Access and Premises Internetworking Division, Dr. Kerpez was recognized as an IEEE Fellow for his significant contributions to digital subscriber line (DSL) technology and standards.
- Granite Systems is recognized by Deloitte & Touche as one of the 50 fastest growing technology companies in the New England region, and one of the 500 fastest growing technology companies in North America for the fifth consecutive year.
2002
- Telcordia Technologies receives R&D Magazine's 40th anniversary R&D 100 Award for the company's Asymmetric Hybrid Supercapacitor technology. Winners of this prestigious award are chosen each year by a panel of more than 70 industry experts. They identify the 100 most technologically significant products and processes introduced in the previous year. Telcordia Technologies is the recipient of 14 previous R&D Magazine top 100 awards.
- Dave Sincoskie named to National Academy of Engineering. Membership in the NAE is the highest professional honor an engineer can receive.
- 2002 DARPA Performance Awards won by Ken Young.
- DARPA Experimentation Pioneer Award to Applied Research team for Smart Firewalls, automated policy-based security management for enterprises.
- Granite Systems is named, for the third year in a row, as one of America's entrepreneurial growth leaders by Inc magazine in its 2002 Inc 500 ranking of the nation's fastest-growing private companies.
- Granite Systems' Founder John E. P. (Jay) Borden named Ernst & Young's 2002 New England Entrepreneur of the Year in the software category.
- Granite Systems' Xpercom named "Best Overall OSS Product" by the TeleStrategies' OSS Excellence Award panel of industry experts.
2001
- Telcordia Technologies Network Configuration Manager Awarded Infovision Award. Network Configuration Manager enables automated management of network, circuit, service and facility configurations.
- Telcordia Technologies, Inc. awarded an Innovation Award from TMC Labs for the Telcordia Call Agent, its CLASS 5 softswitch. TMC Labs Innovation Awards are granted to products that demonstrate raw innovation and uniqueness while significantly contributing to the telecommunications industry..
- Telcordia receives MOSAIC award from CECOM (U.S. Army).
- Antoni (Tony) S. Gozdz receives the Thomas Alva Edison Patent Award in Energy Innovation.
- Granite Systems receives the InfoVision Award for Computer Software from the International Engineering Consortium (IEC) at the National Communications Forum 2001.
2000
- Telcordia Service Level Manager is awarded the International Engineering Consortium's (IEC) InfoVision Award.
- Josephine Micallef receives YWCA's Tribute to Women and Industry (TWIN) Award
- Granite Systems' John Borden, founder and CEO of Granite Systems, selected as New Hampshire High Technology Council Entrepreneur of the Year 2000.

- Receives InfoVision 97 Award
- CEO George H. Heilmeier wins John Scott Award
- Receives Information Technology Association of America (ITAA) 2000 Certification, the industry's century date change certification program.
- Researchers Richard C.L. Lau and Tsong Ho Wu were inducted into the New Jersey Inventors Hall of Fame, the sixth and seventh Bellcore researchers recognized with this award. The Hall of Fame annually elects members who have contributed significant inventions from the state of New Jersey.
- Richard Lipton was elected a fellow of the Association for Computing Machinery for "Sustained excellence in research in virtually every aspect of theoretical computer science. He has produced some of the most influential work in the field."

- Applied Research Vice President Robert W. Lucky was awarded the IEEE Edison Medal in 1995 "For an extraordinary career in telecommunications providing visionary technical leadership, support of his profession, and compelling public advocacy of technology."

- Donald Cox, Executive Director of Radio Research, wins the 1993 IEEE Alexander Graham Bell Medal for pioneering and leadership in personal portable communications.

- Researchers Stuart Haber and Scott Stornetta won the 1992 Discover Magazine Award for Technological Innovation in the Computer Software category for an advance in digital time stamping, using cryptography to attach a time stamp to a digital document which certifies that the document existed prior to the stated time and has not since been modified.
